What does AFFALTERBACH mean?

Mercedes-AMG is the performance and sports car brand of Mercedes-Benz Cars. Since 2005 Mercedes-AMG GmbH has been a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz Group AG.

Founded in 1967 by Hans-Werner Aufrecht and Erhard Melcher, the company began its cooperation with Mercedes-Benz in 1990.

The location in Affalterbach near Stuttgart houses the development and design of AMG vehicles, as well as the engine production facility, and management, administration and sales.

Affalterbach is the production location for the V8 engines, and has been the production site of the new 4-cylinder performance engines since spring 2019. Mannheim is a further engine production plant (V12 engine). At these locations the engines are assembled according to the philosophy of “One Man, One Engine”, with one fitter putting together each engine by hand.

The AMG vehicles are produced as part of series production in the international Mercedes-Benz plants.

“Driving Performance” is the motto of the AMG brand, and it is expressed in every vehicle’s perceptible, innovative excellence.

Both the SLS AMG and the Mercedes-AMG GT family as two-door variants and the AMG GT 4-door Coupé mark milestones in the company’s history: they were developed entirely in-house.

BUT where does the AFFALTERBACH logo mean:

On the left side of the Mercedes-Benz AMG® emblem, you see an apple tree, with a line underneath the tree representing a river. This is the historic coat of arms for Affalterbach, Germany, the town where you’ll find the Mercedes-Benz AMG® headquarters.

THE MERCEDES-BENZ LOGO MEANING

You know the Mercedes-Benz logo was initially adopted in tribute to its founder Gottlieb Daimler and the Daimler family homeland, but is there more symbolism at work here? If you ask Mercedes-Benz officials, the answer is yes:

  • Together, the Mercedes-Benz star’s 3 points represent the company’s drive for universal motorization — but each point also has its individual meaning. The points represent land, sea, and air — environments the company believed they would one day dominate with Mercedes-Benz engines.
  • The biggest change came in 1926, when the pioneering companies Daimler and Benz merged. The occasion was marked with the Mercedes-Benz 3-pointed star’s enclosure in a circle — creating the brand mark that really would go on to worldwide renown!

WHAT ABOUT THE MERCEDES-BENZ AMG® LOGO?

Compared to the Mercedes-Benz 3-pointed star, the enigmatic Mercedes-Benz AMG® logo seems to hide its meaning within a set of runes — but the truth is hardly that mysterious:

  • The right side of the Mercedes-Benz AMG® logo illustrates a cam, valve, and valve spring. As you’d expect, these core engine components represent a passion for engineering — which is at the heart of every Mercedes-Benz AMG® engine.
  • On the left side of the Mercedes-Benz AMG® emblem, you see an apple tree, with a line underneath the tree representing a river. This is the historic coat of arms for Affalterbach, Germany, the town where you’ll find the Mercedes-Benz AMG® headquarters.

If you are ready to elevate the way you get around town, your first stop should be in our showroom of exquisite and exciting new inventory.

SUVs

This part of the inventory claims the title of "Supreme Utility Vehicle" while the influence of the Mercedes brand flows throughout its different models. Each option includes specific attributes that make them meaningful for specific consumers in Benton; the GLA SUV remains compact for those who happen to need more space, while the GLB SUV encourages drivers to explore different environments.

The GLC SUV, on the other hand, provides mid-sized transportation while maintaining similar capabilities to the other options in the inventory.

Sedans and Wagons

Four-door models with devoted class-tiers, Mercedes-Benz sedans combine more accessible vehicles for Conway consumers with the right amount of luxury synonymous with the brand.

It goes even further with the S-Class Sedan and its Maybach variant with their more sophisticated design traits on the grille and rims, while the E-Class Wagon instead ops to provide more space for luggage in the back. Horsepower also plays a factor in the performance, with models ranging between 188 horsepower on the A-Class sedan to 649 horsepower on the EQS sedan.

Coupes, Convertibles, and Roadsters

Similar to the Sedans and Wagons covered previously, Mercedes-Benz coupes also aim to integrate luxury elements of the titular brand into vehicle types traditionally known to not prioritize said attributes.

While these vehicles have two doors less than most of their fellow offerings, they continue to deliver on the prominent quota of the manufacturer with sports-car designs and modern features that change any driving experience in North Little Rock, with model examples including Class Coupes C and E as well as the AMG® GT.

In addition, the C and E-Class Cabriolets, as well as the SL Roadster go a step further with the option to retract their roofs, changing any drive throughout a sunny day in Bryant.
